Maximum Weights and Dimensions- Parcelforce

UK delivery limits

For UK deliveries, a parcel must not exceed either of the following limits:

• 1.5 m maximum length and 3 m maximum combined length and girth.
• 28 kg maximum weight.

Express48 Large service limits

For the Express48 Large service, a parcel must not exceed:

• 2.5 m maximum length.
• 5 m maximum combined length and girth.

Calculating girth

Calculate girth using the following formula:

(2 × width) + (2 × height)

If the parcel has an irregular shape, use the dimensions of the smallest box that the parcel would fit inside.

International delivery limits

For international deliveries, each parcel must comply with the weight and size restrictions for the destination country.

Additional charges and returned parcels

Parcels that exceed Parcelforce size or weight limits may still be accepted for processing. However, they may:

• Be delayed in transit.
• Cause damage to your parcel or other parcels in the network.
• Be returned to the sender.
• Incur additional surcharges.
• Items returned to the sender are subject to additional surcharges.
