Printing a test pattern on the DM60

Print a test pattern to see if the printhead is working properly or if you have enough ink in the cartridge.

Visit the Pitney Bowes shop to order a genuine Pitney Bowes replacement ink cartridge.

1. Press Menu / Options.
2. Press Review (down) to Use ink functions?
3. Press Enter/yes.
4. Press Review (down) to Print test pattern?
5. Press Enter/yes.
6. When prompted, insert an envelope or tape sheet into the franking machine.
7. When prompted, remove the envelope.
8. At the prompt Is test pattern OK?, do one of the following:
   • If the test pattern looks good, press Enter/yes. You return to the Home screen.
     
   • If the test pattern is poor, press No. The franking machine will clean the printer nozzles. When complete, the franking machine prompts you to insert an envelope or tape sheet.
     
9. If the test pattern is not good, the problem could be the printhead. See Poor print quality on the DM60 for steps to troubleshoot the printhead.
