Adding a custom preset on the DM110i, DM160i, DM220i

Add a custom preset to store up to five commonly used settings.
Products affected: DM110i™, DM160i™, DM220i™ (PR20)

A preset is a snapshot of settings that are most commonly used. To add a new custom preset, you first need to decide the desired settings for the preset: carrier, class, mail type, envelope message.

Your franking machine has a Normal Preset. These are the settings you use most often. It also has the ability to store up to 5 Custom Presets. Custom Preset are settings that you use frequently but not as often as the Normal Preset.

Define the preset settings and adding a Custom Preset

Before you add a new custom preset, first select the desired settings on your franking machine:

  1. Select Class, then select the options that you wish to be saved as a preset:
    • Carrier.
    • Class.
    • Mail type (Letter, Large Letter, etc).
    • Ad (Envelope Message).
    • Text message.
  2. You then return to the Home screen.
  3. Press Custom Presets.
  4. Select Define New Preset.
  5. When Confirm if the current values are correct? appears, select YES: store preset.
  6. Using the keypad, enter a name (up to 12 characters). To use letters, repeatedly press the appropriate number key until the desired letter appears.
  7. Select OK when done.
  8. Select Continue. The franking machine saves the new values and the Custom Preset menu appears.
  9. Press Home.
