Using a lock code on the DM110i, DM160i and DM220i

A Lock code prevents unauthorised access to the franking machine when it enters sleep mode or when you turn it on.

Once a lock code is set, to lock the franking machine press Power / Lock and select Lock the meter.

To unlock the franking machine, wake it by pressing any key then enter the 4-digit PIN. Press Yes/Enter to confirm.

Adding a Lock code

1. Press Options.
2. Press Page Down twice.
3. Select Lock Code / Passwords.
4. Select Meter Lock Code.
5. Enter New Lock Code appears. Enter a new 4-digit Lock code then select Continue.
6. Re-enter the new Lock Code to confirm and select Continue.
7. The franking machine confirms that the Lock Code has been enabled. Select Continue.
8. Press Home to return to the Home screen.

Changing the Lock code

1. Press Options.
2. Press Page Down twice.
3. Select Lock Code / Passwords.
4. Select Meter Lock Code.
5. The franking machine prompts for the 4-digit Lock code. Enter the 4-digit Lock code.
6. Select Change Lock Code.
7. At the prompt, enter a new 4-digit Lock code and select Continue.
8. Re-enter the new Lock code to confirm and select Continue.
9. The franking machine confirms the change of the Lock Code. Select Continue.
10. Press Home to return to the Home screen.

Disabling the Lock code

1. Press Options.
2. Press Page Down twice.
3. Select Lock Code / Passwords.
4. Select Meter Lock Code.
5. The franking machine prompts for the 4-digit Lock code. Enter the 4-digit Lock code.
6. Select Disable Lock Code.
7. At the prompt, enter the 4-digit Lock Code and select Continue.
8. The meter confirms that the Lock code has been disabled. Select Continue.
9. Press Home to return to the Home screen.
