"Accounting Period Ended" or "Account Period Invalid" messages on the DM110i, DM160i and DM220i

Perform a data upload and clear the accounting data to resolve the "Accounting Period Ended" or "Account Period Invalid" messages.
Products affected: DM110i™, DM160i™, DM220i™ (PR20)

Issue

The messages "Transaction Log Full", "Accounting Period Ended", "Account Period Invalid", or "Period Ended - Must clear data to continue" appear.

Cause

The accounting period has expired, or your transaction log is full. When the accounting period expires, mail cannot be run until you clear the data or you extend the accounting period.

Resolution

When using InView accounting, there is a limit of transactions that you can make. This is called the Transaction Log. To resolve the error, clear the accounting data.

Important: Before you clear the accounting data, perform a data upload. Once you clear the transaction log, you cannot retrieve the account information. Only summary information will be available on the franking machine.

To perform a data upload:

  1. Press Options.
  2. Press Page Down twice.
  3. Select Advanced Features.
  4. Select InView Records.
  5. Select Upload Now.

To clear the Transaction Log:

  1. Press Accounts.
  2. Press Page Down then select Manage Transactions.
  3. Press Page Down and select Clear Transaction Log.
  4. Press Yes to clear the log.

To clear the accounting data:

  1. Press Accounts.
  2. Select Manage InView Accounts.
  3. Press Page Down and select Clear Account Data.
  4. Select Clear All Data.
  5. Press Yes to clear the data.
  6. Press Home to return to the Home screen.
