Using the lock code on the DM300M-DM475

A lock code prevents unauthorised access to the franking machine when it enters sleep mode or when you turn it on.

Once a lock code is set, to lock the franking machine, press Power / Lock then select Lock the Meter.

To unlock the franking machine, wake it by pressing any key, enter the 4-digit pin and then press Enter.

Accessing the lock code menu

1. Press Options.
2. Select Setup.
3. Select Lock Code / Password.

Turning the lock code on and setting a lock code

1. Select Enable Lock Code.
2. Enter a new 4-digit lock code, then select Continue.
3. Re-enter the new lock code to confirm, then select Continue.
4. The franking machine confirms that the lock code has been enabled. Select OK.
5. Press Home to return to the Home screen.

Changing the lock code

1. Select Change Lock Code in the Lock Code / Passwords menu.
2. Enter the existing lock code, then select Continue.
3. Enter a new 4-digit lock code, then select Continue.
4. Re-enter the new lock code, then select Continue.
5. The franking machine confirms that the lock code has been changed. Select OK.
6. Press Home to return to the Home screen.

Disabling the lock code

1. Select Disable Lock Code in the Lock Code / Passwords menu.
2. Enter the lock code, then select OK. The franking machine returns to the Lock Code / Password menu.
3. Press Home to return to the Home screen.
