From 1 May 2025, new rules called The Windsor Framework will be in place for sending goods from Great Britain to Northern Ireland. If you send large letters or parcels you will need to give extra information, depending on whether the item is being sent Business to Business (B2B) or Business to Consumer (B2C).
Whether you are sending the item to a business or a consumer you will need to know if the recipient uses a export license or not.
If you are sending the item to a business, you will need to know:
- Your HS Tariff reference.
- Your Economic Operators Registration and Identification reference (EORI reference).
- The recipient's EORI reference.
- Your UK Internal Market Scheme authorisation reference (UKIMS reference) or the recipient's UKIMS reference.
Further information can be found using the Royal Mail and UK Government websites.
Important: Ensure you use the correct information to help prevent delays, customs charges or your mail being returned to you.
If you do not have a w1110 or PB-SP100 (1E36, 1E42 or 1E49) label printer you can print a shipping label from your PitneyShip Pro account on your computer.
