Managing inbound carriers in PitneyTrack Inbound or PitneyTrack Enterprise

If you use inbound carriers that are not on the included list, you can add custom inbound carriers. You can also edit and delete them, if necessary.

If you use inbound carriers that are not on the included list, you can add custom inbound carriers. You can also edit and delete them, if necessary.

You can also set the system to notify you if a package has been used before. You can create a new package record or edit an existing package.

Adding a custom inbound carrier

  1. Select Settings > Inbound Carriers.
  2. If necessary, select your Site.
  3. Select +Add Inbound Carrier.
  4. Enter the name in the Name field.
  5. If necessary, select the Sites at which the carrier should be available.
  6. Select Save, Save and Close or Save and add another.

Deleting a custom inbound carrier

  1. Select Settings > Inbound Carriers.
  2. If necessary, select your Site.
  3. Select the delete icon next to the carrier you wish to delete.

  4. Select Delete to confirm.

Editing a custom inbound carrier

  1. Select Settings > Inbound Carriers.
  2. If necessary, select your Site.
  3. Select the edit icon next to the carrier you wish to update.

  4. Update the name as needed.
  5. Select Update.

Reusing duplicate tracking numbers

Some shipping carriers may reuse tracking numbers. This setting lets you decide what the system should do if a tracking number has been used before.

  1. If you want to be notified if a package has the same tracking number when you scan it, select the Prompt me to create a new record or update an existing one while receiving a reused tracking number checkbox.
  2. Select how many months later you want to be notified if the same tracking number is used again. You will receive a prompt asking if you want to create a new package record or update the existing package.
