PitneyTrack Inbound Release Notes version 1.120.0 (January 28, 2026)

PitneyTrack Inbound Release Notes for version 1.120.0 (January 28, 2026).

Products affected: PitneyTrack® Inbound, PitneyTrack® Mobile App

What's New

Web browser: Reused Tracking Number settings

A new Reused Tracking Number Settings checkbox has been added under Inbound Carrier Settings. When enabled, admins can allow mailroom users to add a new package using an existing tracking number. Admins must set a duration between 1 and 24 months (default is 6 months). If the original tracking number’s created date exceeds this duration, users will see the option on the Receive page to reuse it for a new package.

Web browser and mobile app: Option to receive existing Tracking Number as new package

The Receive page now offers an option to add an existing tracking number as a new package. When a scanned tracking number already exists, users will see Package number already exists with two choices:

  • Receive as New Package: Adds the tracking number as a new package and continues the workflow.
  • Edit Package: Opens the existing package for editing (current behavior).

This works for both Single Receive and Multiple Receive workflows. For multiple scans, users can choose to add as a new package or ignore the scan. Note: This option appears only if the tracking number exceeds the duration set in Reused Tracking Number settings.

Latest Updates

Web browser and mobile app: NFC-Based Mailroom Pickup Enhancements

We’ve introduced new NFC (Near Field Communication) options across both web browser and mobile to make mailroom pickup faster and more flexible. For web browser, a new NFC for Mobile option has been added in Delivery settings under Select alternative ways to find packages for Mailroom Pickup > Find package by. Enabling this setting activates NFC functionality in the mobile app.

On the mobile app, a new NFC option now appears under Mailroom Pickup by on the Deliver page. When using NFC, the device’s NFC capability is enabled, allowing users to tap a card to read the recipient’s Personnel ID and retrieve any undelivered packages for that recipient.

For all Mailroom Pickup By options, undelivered packages will be shown for the time period defined in Data storage & sync settings. Additionally, when delivering packages for a specific recipient, scanning packages before delivery can be set to Optional or Required through the Scan packages for delivery setting using a web browser.
