Universal Postal Union Changes for International Shipments
Changes have been made to how document‑only shipments are handled for Royal Mail Group (RMG) international deliveries.
For international shipments from the UK using the RMG carrier with the Package Type Large Letter and the Service International Tracked & Signed, the Item contains only letters and documents and has no commercial valuecheckbox will be automatically selected and disabled. This means it is mandatory and cannot be changed. In this scenario, the Export Type menu will not be shown, but the system will automatically submit the Export Type as Document.
For international shipments from the UK using the RMG carrier with the Package Type Large Letter and any service other than International Tracked & Signed, the Item contains only letters and documents and has no commercial value checkbox will not be displayed. In addition, Document will not be available as an option in the Export Type menu.
The Export Type Document will no longer be available for the package types Small Parcel, Medium Parcel, and Custom dimensions. Additionally, the Item contains only letters and documents and has no commercial value checkbox will no longer appear for these package types.
