Latest Updates

Royal Mail & Parcelforce Compliance Update

This update ensures that PitneyShip Pro complies with the latest Royal Mail and Parcelforce (PFW) requirements for international and Channel Island (Jersey and Guernsey) shipments from the UK. Changes have been made to the Export Type dropdown in the user interface to reflect updated terminology and options.

For Parcelforce International shipments, labels have been updated for clarity: “NOT SOLD” is now Other, “Merchandise” is now Commercial Sale of Goods, and “SOLD” is now Sale of Goods. A new option, Return of Goods, has also been added. For Parcelforce Windsor (B2C) shipments, “Merchandise” is updated to Commercial Sale of Goods, with Other and Return of Goods added, while “SOLD” and “NOT SOLD” have been removed. For Parcelforce Windsor (B2B) shipments, “Merchandise” is also updated to Commercial Sale of Goods, and both “SOLD” and “NOT SOLD” options have been removed.

For Royal Mail International shipments, “Merchandise” is now Commercial Sale of Goods, and a new Documents option has been introduced. For both Royal Mail B2C and B2B shipments, “Merchandise” has been updated to Sale of Goods.

In addition, customs form handling has changed. The CN22 form is no longer generated, and the CN23 form is now mandatory for all international and Channel Island shipments. For Parcelforce, CN23 forms can only be printed in 4x6 format, as the A4 format has been discontinued.

Multi-Piece Shipping with Custom Carrier (NoRate) Update

This update introduces enhanced multi-piece shipping capabilities for the custom NoRate carrier. Users can now create shipments with multiple packages under a single shipment, improving flexibility for bulk shipping scenarios. The feature supports a single service type, Ground, and allows users to optionally enter service rates manually at the shipment level.

Additional shipping options include user charges and extra handling services, which can be enabled in settings and are applied to each individual package. Every package (piece) in the shipment generates its own shipping label, clearly showing the piece number (for example, “1 of 3”), and can include a tracking number if provided by the user. The first package is designated as the master piece, and shipments can include up to 40 pieces.

Customer-Specific Sender Email Alias for Notifications

This update extends the custom “From” email address feature to customers in the UK and Ireland, allowing them to use their own domain when sending operational notification emails. With this enhancement, organizations can configure a customer-specific email alias so that outgoing notifications appear to come directly from their business, rather than a generic system address. This provides greater control over sender identity and ensures a consistent experience across regions where the feature is already available.
