Royal Mail International Tariff Changes – effective 1st September 2020
Due to the ongoing impact to International services, Royal Mail have announced a further revision of International prices.
2020 Tariff Changes
At Pitney Bowes, we are aware that this year has seen unprecedented impacts on your business and we are continuing to support where possible.
The table below shows the details of the tariff changes that have been announced in 2020 by Royal Mail and Parcelforce.

|23rd March 2020||Annual price increase across all products and services, including all 1st & 2nd Class formats/variants|
|1st July 2020||Due to changes within the International postal market, introduction of Rest of World region 3 for USA with updated prices|
|1st September 2020||Increases to International prices due to the impact of COVID-19|
Summary of changes
Price increases to International services including:
- To all zones which includes EU/Europe and Rest of World – Zones 1, 2 & 3
- International Standard
- International Signed
- International Tracked
- International Tracked and Signed

Inland/Domestic rates are not changing and below is the summary of discounts for Mailmark Franking Machine Users*:
- 22p difference on every 2nd Class Letter compared to stamped mail
- 11p difference on every 1st Class Letter compared to stamped mail
Summary of Discounts for Standard Franking Machine Users*:
- 15p difference on every 2nd Class Letter compared to stamped mail
- 7p difference on every 1st Class Letter compared to stamped mail
Please note it is your obligation as a franking customer to comply with section 7 of Royal Mail´s scheme for franking. Download information about the scheme here. The value of Postage paid indicated by the Franking Mark on any letter must conform to the applicable rate and in order to comply with the HMRC VAT rules you must update the rates on your franking machine by 31st August 2020.
