"Class Required", "Connection Required" or "Unable to upload Data" error messages on a DM series meter

Non-Mailmark franking machines cannot process mail as of 1st January 2023.
Products affected: DM50, DM55, DM100i, DM125i, DM150i & DM200i, DM200, DM225, DM250, DM300, DM300c (Pre 2013), DM400c (Pre 2013), DM475 (Pre 2013), DM400, DM500, DM550 & DM575, DM800, DM900, DM1000, Post Perfect, Personal Post, Paragon Series, B700, E700.

Issue

The meter displays "Class Required", "Connection Required" or "Unable to upload Data" error messages.

Cause

From the 1st January 2023 Royal Mail will only accept franked mail from customers who use a Mailmark® franking machine. Your meter is no longer able to process mail as the deadline has passed.

You are not connecting using one of our Mailmark® devices. You need to upgrade to a new franking machine to continue sending franked mail.
