"UPSLink Error: (518) SHIP-SYSTEM-VENDOR/MODEL/VER DOES NOT EXIST" when commissioning UPS in SendSuite Xpress or Ascent

When attempting to commission UPS, the following error appears in the upper right corner of the SendSuite® Xpress or Ascent™ screen:



There was an issue registering with the UPS server.


Ensure that SendSuite Xpress or Ascent is current on updates:

  1. Close any open SendSuite Xpress or Ascent programs.
  2. Double-click on the IntelliLink Desktop icon on the desktop or in the System Tray (the small icons by the clock, usually in the lower right corner) to open IntelliLink Desktop.
  3. On the Updates tab, select the Check Now button to check for updates.
  4. Install all available updates, then try to commission UPS again.
Note: There may be more than one update available. After each update is installed, select Check Now button again to ensure that no further updates are available.
