"ERROR Failed to complete the OpenDevice sequence Meter 0" message in SendSuite Live

The message "ERROR Failed to complete the OpenDevice sequence Meter 0" occurs because the IP Address on the Connect+ device is not static. A static IP address is required.

Issue

When loading a project, the message "ERROR Failed to complete the OpenDevice sequence Meter 0" appears in the Connect+ device window.

Cause

The IP Address on the Connect+ device is not static. A static IP address is required.

Resolution

  1. Verify the IP Address on the Connect+ device:
    1. Turn on the Connect+ meter.
    2. Once it is started, press the Home button.
    3. Select Settings > Internet and Settings > Communication Settings. This screen shows the IP address and ports assigned. Record the IP Address.
    4. Exit the screen.
  2. Edit the IP Address on the computer:
    1. Close all open web pages.
    2. Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Pitney Bowes\msoneproxy.
    3. Select msoneproxyconfigurator.exe.
    4. Select the configuration at the top.
    5. Edit the IP Address that you obtained from the Connect+ device.
    6. Click Save.
  3. Open the shipping page and test.
