Moving the DM100i-DM125

Learn how to move the DM100i, DM125, DM200L, and DM225.

If you must move your DM100®i, DM125™, DM200L™, or DM225™, whether it's across the room or to a new facility, a few precautions must be taken. Follow these steps to move the meter safely:
  1. Remove the scale from the top of the machine, if present.
  2. Remove the sealer, if present:
    1. If the wick or brush are moist, any fluid in the sealer must be drained.
    2. Take the sealer to a sink and tip it to remove any fluid.
    3. Place the sealer in a zip-top bag for transport, as any remaining fluid may leak.
  3. Remove the ink cartridge:
    1. Open the top cover. A Top Cover Open message displays.
    2. Select Replace Ink Tank.
    3. Unlatch the ink tank latch.
    4. Remove the ink tank and place it in a zip-top bag, as it may leak in transport.
    5. Close the latch and snap it into place.
    6. Close the top cover.
  4. Remove any USB cables and optional peripherals such an accounting thumb drive or scanner and pack them with the meter.
  5. Unplug the power cable and pack it with the meter.
Important: When you move the meter, make sure that it stays level or ink may leak and damage the meter.
  1. Reinstall any USB cables and optional peripherals.
  2. Plug the power cord into the meter and power outlet.
  3. Reinstall the ink tank:
    1. Open the top cover. Top Cover Open message displays.
    2. Select Replace Ink Tank.
    3. Unlatch the ink tank latch.
    4. Reinstall the ink tank.
    5. Close the latch and snap it into place.
    6. Close the top cover.
  4. Reinstall the sealer, if present.
  5. Reinstall the scale, if present.
